Barge, crane sink at Titusville Marina

Thank God that nobody was injured and that containment booms were set up fast to catch the diesel fuel. We passed this marina on our "Water Dog" outing on Friday.

We had torrential rain over the weekend and I guess it was enough to flood the barge and turn it over.

I live there at the marina, and no it wasn't just the storm that resulted in the barge issue. Negligence was a part. Did you know the crane was upside down in a sink hole? They attached floats on it and the floats disappeared as it continued to sink. Just today were they bringing it up.
